Foster Carers Needed in North Wales

Fostering Solutions, a locally based independent foster care agency, is responding to the urgent need for more foster carers in North Wales, by holding a series of information event at the organisation's offices in Wrexham.

The national independent charity 'Fostering Network' released alarming statistics last year, indicating the need to recruit an additional 8,700 foster carers across the UK in 2012.

In North Wales alone, there are over 1,000 children and young people in the care system, many of whom urgently need a secure and supportive home. You could provide that home.

You don't need formal qualifications, all we ask is for child care experience, either through looking after your own family or working with children and you will need a spare bedroom for a child or young person to call their own. In return, Fostering Solutions offers you full initial and on going training, 24 hour a day support every day of the year, annual leave and a generous allowance.

If you've ever wondered what it's like to foster children and young people, please pop along for an informal chat with staff and foster carers from Fostering Solutions at Clwyd House, Regent Street, Wrexham, LL11 1PF between 10am and 5pm on the following dates: 23rd February, 27th April, 27th June, 18th September, 22nd November 2012.

If you are unable to attend, please call 08453 700 500 for an informal chat with our Carer Recruitment Team or go to www.fosteringsolutions.com. You may apply online.
