Bruntwood's City House renovation project due for 2013 completion
Bruntwood is a family-owned commercial property company with offices to rent across the North and Midlands. Situated in the heart of Leeds city centre, City House is a landmark tower which the company has recently been granted planning permission for.
Bruntwood will convert the 120,000 sq ft City House into Grade A, BREEAM Excellent office suites. From mid-2013, there will be 5,000 sq ft to whole floors of office space available to let. The 14-storey tower, standing directly on top of Leeds train station, will contain office space suitable for all business types from tailored suites to flexible serviced offices. Network Rail and Leeds City Council will be collaborating with Bruntwood to help the project run smoothly.
Craig Burrow, Director of Leeds for Bruntwood, said: "City House will benefit from meticulous design, precision craftsmanship and the highest quality materials to ensure it impresses on every level. The building will be priced to appeal to a wide range of occupiers and our aim is to develop vibrant and well-functioning places that create the right environments for our customers to succeed."
The proposals include complete re-surfacing of the building's exterior, remodelling the pedestrian entrance and public areas, and creating additional access to the basement car park.
City House came into Bruntwood's possession in July 2010. A friendly and professional welcome will be guaranteed by a concierge-style service in the renovated mezzanine reception and the modern entrance area after the redevelopment. There will also be state-of-the-art serviced offices where occupiers can enjoy a variety of business services. In addition to the short walk to the railway station, the convenient location of City Tower means office occupiers will have a range of facilities on their doorstep.
With a total ownership of 390,000 sq ft, Bruntwood has five properties across Leeds. This portfolio is currently 99 per cent full, including developments such as 14 King Street and West One. City House and West One also contain Leeds virtual offices. At a fraction of the price of letting a physical office, small or start-up companies can use a high profile business and postal address in Leeds city centre after establishing a virtual office. Making the best first impression with your clients is affordable and easy, thanks to post forwarding and professional phone answering in your company name.
