Endeca Continues Growth and Innovation with Latest Release of MDEX Engine® Technology

LONDON. – June 13, 2011 – Endeca Technologies, Inc., an agile information management software company, today announced continued business growth and technology innovation with the launch of two products that enable IT organisations to rapidly deliver innovative, interactive solutions for the most demanding decision-making environments in the world, including large global enterprises, online businesses, and government agencies. In addition, the company announced the latest release of its MDEX Engine® technology, a hybrid search-analytical database that provides unprecedented flexibility in combining diverse and changing data, and extreme performance in analysing that data.

The latest extensions to Endeca’s MDEX Engine technology build on a rich foundation already powering applications in a third of the Fortune 100. Announced today, this represents the most extensive extension to the analytical capabilities of Endeca’s core technology in the last five years, and is the key enabler of agile BI. The latest extensions include a 10x increase in analytical query performance which enables interactivity on bigger data sets and more complex analytics; real-time analytics over diverse and changing data; industry standard ETL integration; a semantic layer foundation; and improved internationalisation capabilities for non-English deployments. Several of these benefits are supported by the introduction of intra-query parallel query execution and dynamic schema capabilities that complement the MDEX Engine technology’s existing extended in-memory analytics.

Endeca recently signed key global partnerships with two of the top five largest systems integrators in the world. In addition, the company has signed many new customers including 3 Suisses, Apple Vacations, Fairchild Semiconductor International, Ladbrokes, Moen Incorporated and Vitamin Shoppe, among others.
