IRIS Maintains Market Leadership for Third-Party Software Online Self Assessment Filings

Datchet, U.K. – February 17, 2010 -- IRIS Accountancy Practice Solutions today announced that the latest online self assessment (SA) figures released by HMRC again confirm the company’s market leading position for third-party software online SA filings.

For the period ending January 31, 2011, more than two million (2,027,888) online SA filings were completed using IRIS Practice Suite, PTP or Drummohr software applications, together accounting for approximately 45% of all third-party software filings. Like-for-like online SA filings using IRIS Accountancy Practice Solutions software applications also increased by more than 25,000 over the previous year.

HMRC saw a record-breaking number of SA returns filed online during this period, with almost a half-million more than those filed in the previous year (6.43M vs. 6.90M). If returns filed online using HMRC’s own software are included along with all third-party filings then the market share owned by IRIS Accountancy Practice Solutions is almost 30%, again ahead of all other third-party software vendors.
