Fit Body Boot Camp® Milton Keynes Owners Neil Major and Helen Colby join over 150 Fit Body Boot Camp Owners from around the world in hosting the 1,000 Pound Meltdown Challenge. Starting June 6th, they will be challenging local Milton Keynes residents to lose 1,000 pounds in 28 days and donating proceeds from the Milton Keynes 1,000 pound Meltdown Challenge to the Willen Hospice Charity.

“The goal is to inspire and motivate residents to lose weight as part of Fit Body Boot Camp’s Vision to expose and engage twenty percent of the world’s population to a healthy and fit lifestyle by 2020,” says Bedros Keuilian, co-founder of Fit Body Boot Camp. “Obesity isn’t just a personal problem. It is a national and a global problem.”

The BBC reported that an estimated 60.8 per cent of adults and 31.1 per cent of children are overweight. And according to 2009 figures, approximately 22 per cent of men and 24 per cent of women in England were classified as obese.

“By providing free boot camp workouts for participants who sign-up for the 1,000-pound Melt-Down Challenge, it is Fit Body Boot Camp Milton Keynes’s way to kick-start the fight against the obesity epidemic by getting as many people as we can to participate,” says Colby. “Cost is an excuse that some people make to not do something, so we wanted to take away that excuse and give back to our community by providing free boot camp workouts.”

Launching on June 6th, the Fit Body Boot Camp Milton Keynes location is providing local residents a chance to experience a 28-day workout program with nutritional support and an ability to track their weight loss. Each participant will also have the option of having nutritional guidance to further help them reach their personal goals.
